Loic Tiero on The Next Note - A Live Music Event Spotlighting Emerging Talent
London’s music scene continues to showcase some of the greatest talent that Britain has to offer. The Next Note platforms some of the newest faces and emerging talent who are beginning to make waves in the industry. On a night that showcases not only musical talents but also the industry professionals that help make things happen, The Next Note is a night dedicated to discovering new music and connecting with key figures within the industry.
Loic Tiero, founder of Exchange Global Records, shares with us his inspirations for The Next Note, and what we can expect from the event.
How did exchange global records come to be?
Exchange Global Records was birthed after having identified the need for the development of grassroot talent in urban music. The proliferation of social media in the music industry has made scouting authentic talent a lot harder. Labels nowadays prefer talents breaking the algorithm and creating catchy music that will push revenues. At EGR, we take pride in the nurturing process that creates timeless artists and not just one hit wonders, we believe in creating the right support and networking for grassroot talents to thrive.
What has been your inspiration for bringing emerging talent together in this way?
My inspiration stemmed from my day to day interactions with a countless number of young talents that don't have the resources to develop themselves. A lack of finance limits both their capacity to market themselves effectively and invest in their careers at the level expected for them to break. As a result, we created the next note which serves as a platform to expose creatives to industry professionals who may be seeking new talent for their rosters. Additionally, the event gives artists on the line up the opportunity to connect to their fanbase through a live music experience whilst alleviating the costs of hosting a live music event.
The latest event looked like an amazing night of music and spotlighted some great musicians! What can people look forward to this year?
The event will be a night of entertainment and industry insights from live music performances from various artists across urban music genres such as Beryl, Mbrown, DL Stunna and Monique Togara, to an industry panel with DJ Mulano (an international DJ killing the amapiano scene), Grace Babatunde Ceo/Founder of the Rated Marketing Agency and Ashley Lauder, founder of A2M Management Agency.
The Next Note live music event and panel will take place on Wednesday the 11th of March 2026 from 6:30pm till 11pm.
